In the movie Along Came a Spider, the character played by Sir Morgan Freeman, Alex Cross, says a powerful line that teaches us all a valuable lesson:
Our words do not define us as a person. In the face of adversity, when overwhelmed with pressure from all directions, when served with bad news and negative feedback, when pushed close to our breaking point, we always have a choice. And it’s the decisions we make and actions we end up doing in those defining moments that reveal our true nature and identity.
“You do what you are,” so Sir Morgan says in the movie.

We look up to so many people for their success: Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, and Elon Musk for example—known tech powerhouses today. But they’ve been where we are, at the same starting line with nothing but their gifts to leverage. It’s just that they made a daily decision to be relentless, pushing through whatever it takes to be the best at what they do and win their personal missions. Even to this day, that commitment to success and greatness continues. Had they doubted their abilities and quit at one point, technology would have been so different today.
We must hold the same level of commitment, team. If we wish to become tech visionaries, innovators, and top leaders in the referral marketing software industry, we cannot be doubters. We cannot be procrastinators. More importantly, we cannot be quitters. When we quit, as Sir Morgan puts it in the clip above, we betray ourselves and waste our potential which is a sad thing.
Instead, we must show up and choose to win. Time and time again, consistently. Be beacons of resilience and determination, showing others what is possible when we choose to forge ahead. We must rise above our challenges and boldly declare that we are unstoppable.
Our journey has just begun, and with a winning mindset, there is no limit to what we can achieve.
