BlessUP “NO Switchtasking” Thursday, business soul friends!
The amount of time it takes to complete things when you switch tasks, increases!
Switchtasking, or constantly switching between tasks, eats up more of our time and slows us down. It’s a distraction that hinders us from achieving deep work and maintaining laser focus. To ensure we complete tasks efficiently, we need to eliminate these obstacles and reach our goals faster.
Please be refreshed with Sir Rodd’s BlessUp post on Switchtasking:
It’s essential to stay focused and work on one task at a time. Multitasking is a myth, so let’s protect our concentration, especially Scrum Masters. Say no when asked to multitask.
Whether you’re a leader or a team member, it’s important to be mindful of your colleagues’ concentration. Here’s a simple tip we can all use today: Before posting a comment, take a moment to see who is actively involved in the conversation. If someone’s input is no longer relevant, consider not tagging or including them in the discussion. This helps us stay on track and focused on the main topic of the conversation.
Lastly, remember you can also remove yourself if a thread no longer requires your attention. Protect your own focus by unsubscribing from irrelevant discussions.
Until I SEE YOU again,
Pay attention to one task at a time.
Undivided attention creates WOW NDD!
