BlessUP PROactive Friday, business soul friends!
Muhammad Ali once said: “The fight is won or lost far away from witnesses, behind the lines, in the gym, and out there on the road, long before I dance under those lights.”
This powerful quote reminds us that success is not a stroke of luck nor is it a gift bestowed only to the talented few. It’s a result of relentless preparation taken before game time —the years of education, months of probation, and daily commitment to training and practice.
In NaXum, the wisdom of preparation finds a home in our core value Kaizen. Beyond daily mind renewal, Kaizen is all about setting up and honoring our guardrails. We see it in every corner of our processes and it’s at the heart of everything we do for a reason: as preparation for us to excel in our day-to-day tasks and our long-term goals no matter the circumstances. #NoExcuses
We should not wait for our clients to be screaming at us before we deliver a 10x quality product and service. We should not wait until we’re on the verge of striking out of our seats before we change something within. We must plot our game plan to deliver with excellence and set up our preventive measures against potential car crashes ahead of time while we have the freedom to do so. Remember, Habit #1 from The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People: BE PROACTIVE!
Responsibility “response-ability”
– The ability to choose your response.
If you wait to be acted upon, you will be acted upon.
Warm up your mind.
Plan your shifts.
Train for the tasks that haven’t been assigned to you yet.
Review your next tasks.
Forsee errors as you do your work.
Don’t wait to fail, set up your guardrails early on.
Build your health while you’re still not sick.
When we act proactively, we come prepared. And with preparation, we gain confidence, comfort, achievement, and peace of mind. With preparation, we deliver with speed and excellence. If we can’t feel all these yet, then we haven’t prepared enough.
The good thing is every day is a new opportunity to do better and be better. The key is to outwork what we have done before. That 1% of improvement each day is what builds up to the masterpiece, it’s what brings us closer to success but again, each day, we need to prepare. So make it a habit to reflect:
What can you do differently tomorrow?
What preparations do you need to make so you can yield better results?
Review the BlessUP wisdom from Sir Jordan Peterson below and get your game plan ready so you can live the life you want.
Until I See You Again,
