Sir Steve Jobs once challenged our perspective on living:
“The only problem with some people is that they get told that the world is the way it is and their life is just to live their life inside the world. Try not to bash into the walls too much. Try to have a nice family life, have fun, and save money.”
That’s the danger of complacency. We get comfortable with the way things are, accepting limitations without question. But that’s not who we are. We’re creators, problem-solvers, and innovators. We’re made to explore, experiment, and redefine the limits of what’s achievable.
That’s where Poking the Box comes in. It’s the antidote to settling for “good enough.” It’s not about mindless disruption. It’s about audacious curiosity, constantly pushing to ask, “Is there a better way? Can we do more? Can we break through these perceived walls?”
The box is not some unmovable force. We built it, or at least inherited it from those who did. That means it’s still ours to challenge, redefine, and ultimately to break through. By challenging the current norm, we pave the way for innovation. We rewrite the rules and create a future that’s not just imagined but built.
So here’s my call to action today: Let’s embrace the discomfort of the unknown. Let’s be the team that thinks differently and builds the impossible. Let’s not just react to the world bouncing off its walls but actively shape it with our creativity and ingenuity.
