We live in a world where plans often change. We may be in the middle of working on something today, only to be interrupted by unplanned tasks tomorrow. The reality is that changes happen before even finishin —new requirements emerge, priorities shift, and unforeseen challenges arise.
The unknown in any work environment is high, this is why we build with adaptability in mind. Rigid plans are more likely to break, but flexible plans are more likely to evolve.
We may find ourselves being stretched out when faced with competing priorities. We may set out to finish an important task that’s due today, and that may not work out. We may be pulled to finish a more urgent fix—and that’s okay.
Success is not measured with how closely we stick to our original plan—it’s how effectively we were able to adjust, refine our approach, and still deliver impactful solutions.
