A foundational part of being a 10x is your self-determination. Your personal desire and commitment to be accountable and take ownership. In other words, you hate excuses. You never play it safe. You never live your life in the middle. You despise average. You never tolerate mediocrity from yourself or others. You take risks. You do whatever it takes to WIN. You make mistakes. You dig for root cause. You Kaizen. You never make the same mistake twice. You take massive actions to be a part of the 1%. You EAT Frogs like candy to done-done. Bottom line, you produce WOW. 🍽🐸
The result is always one or the other. WIN or LOSE. There is NO middle ground. As is the same for the success game of business-soul living. You can’t straddle the fence. (Well, you can try, but good luck with that!) Either you WIN or you LOSE. ALL your ACTions ‘speak’. Good or bad. Others see your real-life output as either a win or a loss.
How you do anything is how you do everything.
Either you deliver your one-at-a-time FROG TASK by the due date, or you do NOT. You either respond with speed, or you are too slow. Clients either feel HAPPY with the results or SAD. They will share something nice you did, or something bad you did. There is no middle ground in the success of business, or life.
Just like an actor needs to perform well to stay in the cast, everyone must do their best to stay part of the team. Our WHY is a crazy BHAG divinely driven by a deep desire.
There is no place for mediocrity here.
Only those who deliver real results, and are deeply committed to their roles, will succeed. It’s for those who truly care about making a difference and are willing to do whatever it takes to fulfill the mission.
So, how do you perform? You deliver real 10x results. You are able to FINISH. You are able to EAT Froggies from start to finish. Ribbit 🐸
SELF-DETERMINATION is the key to making things happen.
Everyone must have the mindset to understand the work, want to do it, and have the ability to get it done. If, after some time, someone can’t show that drive and can’t deliver real results, it might not be the right fit for them.
In the end, it’s all about determination. It’s about finding a way, even when the path seems unclear, and sticking to commitments without excuses. Finishing tasks and delivering results by the agreed-upon deadlines is what matters. Just as Uncle G reminds us:
