The following words are from Sir Tony Robbins.
“I don’t have time.”
Let’s be honest – it’s an excuse. 🤐
Did Madam C.J. Walker say, “I don’t have time” to transform the Black hair care industry and become the first Black female self-made millionaire? 💥
Did Walt Disney say, “I don’t have time” to create one of the most universally recognized figures in pop culture and build a business empire around – of all things – a cartoon MOUSE? 💥
Did Michael Jordan say, “I don’t have time” to take more than 6,000 free throw shots every week to have absolute certainty on the court and become one of the most successful basketball players of all time? 💥
No—of course not. What these people have in common is they MADE time. They created time. ⏰
They found a way to practice in private and be rewarded in public the same way all the most successful people in the world do.
Right on Sir Tony!
And what about Arnel Pineda, did he say, “I don’t have time” to learn all the Journey songs and replace the lead singer of one of the most successful pop culture bands ever as the band rebirthed itself?
No go! Sir Arnel took a deep breath, got really uncomfortable, and JUMPED! He became the most successful singer to replace a legendary lead singer (Steve Perry) of a major band ever! He made time to increase his skills and learn all the songs. He surely did not make excuses as to WHY he could not become the lead singer of Journey. And you better know there could have been many excuses he could have made. “To old. To short. No english.” All justifications (excuses) as to why he could never replace Steve Perry and be the lead singer of Journey.
He Didn’t Stop Believin’
To old. To short. No English. No problem.
You can’t stop a ‘journey’ that was meant to be.
If he would have—if Sir Arnel would have listened to all the naysayers and made excuses instead of time, you would NOT know who he was. He would never have done what he can be famous for. That would be sad. I am glad we know who he is. ❤️
The bottom line is: everyone has the opportunity to show what they’re capable of and make a difference. It’s about creating solutions that make the world a better place, whether through technology, innovation, or creativity.
