Gay Hendricks, Carol Kline’s Conscious Luck- Eight Secrets to Intentionally Change Your Fortune
You may think that the duck is one of the luckiest creatures on earth. It flies, swims, or even walks. Although, a fish seems to have less luck because it only swims, the same as the sparrow that only flies. While the monkeys look like the unluckiest as they hate water in addition to, they can’t fly like a duck. However, you are wrong.
Every creature mentioned above has its own nature and circumstances that demand a special characteristic for each one of them. We can say that the fish has a stroke of luck because it can stay the whole of its life underwater where there are abundant food sources. The sparrow is just as fortunate because it can sing and fly at high speed due to its small size. Moreover, if we take a closer look at monkeys, even if they cannot swim or fly, but have a great ability to climb trees and move between them which ducks, fishes, and sparrows do not.
Whatever unique characteristics we have, each one of us is blessed so we should always be grateful and thankful for what we have. From different favors and circumstances, we should always consider ourselves lucky.
Luck equation might be = Faith + secret ingredients
“Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.” — Martin Luther King, Jr.
We can put our faith in God that He will guide us in the right way. But we should do our part by adding the secret ingredient to be among the fortunate on the earth. The secret lies in making a sincere commitment to be lucky now and forever, freely and joyfully committing to creating luck and abundance in our lives. We must learn to break the barriers of the past and have the mindset of “That was then, this is now.” When we dissolve our personal barriers, we give ourselves permission to be charmed and put power into our own ‘shame machinery’ to work for us as a luck magnet instead.
The right mindset is a non-negotiable ingredient required in going after some big and audacious goals but it’s not the only requirement. It must be coupled with consistent 10X actions too, as well as an environment surrounded by the right tribe, people who work and think like you, those who believe they are lucky.
The Conscious Luck taught me several points that will draft my future life vision. Firstly, Luck is a decision you should take to be lucky. We should always believe that we are lucky. Luck changes the moment you make a conscious commitment to being lucky. Create your own luck by the way you act, feel & talk.
However, we must get rid of the attitude of “we don’t deserve where we are” because it’s worthless and in fact counterproductive to your peace of mind. Besides, we should know how to let shame work with us, not against us.
In every decision we make, we should ask ourselves how we can maximize our win so it can cover every person involved in it.
Changing your routine on your simple daily tasks will let you avoid thinking about negative things. For example, wash your teeth with your left hand to focus more on the task.
Furthermore, spending more time taking in oxygen with lucky people will help in gaining good luck mean while be in the right place at the right time.
In conclusion, we must experience gratitude as often as we can.
Conscious luck in action
So today, I have decided to take bold actions by implementing the previously mentioned points in my life.
I made a conscious commitment to believe that I am lucky so I will act, feel, and talk like a jammy person. I am getting rid of any negative attitude especially the “we don’t deserve where we are” mindset because it’s worthless. I am no longer giving shame a room in my life; every time there’s something that makes me feel bad, I will channel the energy to focus on the things I can be thankful for instead. Furthermore, for every action or decision taken, I will make it a habit to ask myself how it can become a win to make a positive impact on me and all affected parties
“I believe I have a personal responsibility to make a positive impact on society” Said Anthony Fauci.
I will work on changing my routine and taking daily actions with different approaches to help my mental health to be always fresh-minded and focused. I will fill my circle with successful people and make it a circle of influence that would lead me to the right manners, the right perspective, and the right decisions in life. I will grab every opportunity to show up and be at the right place at the right time just like where I am now: in NaXum,
having the opportunity to inspire and make an impact on billions of business souls with my gifts.
“A man follows the manners of his intimate friend. So, each of you should carefully consider whom he takes as his intimate friend.”- Prophet Muhammed (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him).
I will be always grateful to God for his favors and to the people who helped me and are still helping me change my life for the better.
“If you are grateful, I will surely increase you more (in favors)” [Quran, Chapter: Ibrahim, verse 7].
In the end, I feel that I am lucky now and I know I will be lucky forever!
