This year is all about making bold moves and elevating our game. It’s a time for new opportunities, growth, and the momentum is already building!
Hitting milestones and achieving goals is something to celebrate. Take a moment to recognize the remarkable progress made. Feeling the excitement? Every individual has the chance to turn their WHY into reality, and this is just the beginning. As more opportunities arise, it’s important to show up, deliver, and WIN every single day. A key part of that success is focusing on Most Valuable Activities (MVAs)—those actions that drive real impact and align with both your personal goals and larger purpose.
A powerful reminder from the book Invaluable: The Secret to Becoming Irreplaceable by Charlie Trotter that I want to share with you:
- You better make sure you’re taking care of what you’re supposed to be doing before you worry about doing something new! No one cares about how good you are at building a ship if you didn’t clean the mess hall like you were supposed to.
- Increase the time spent in MVAs, and decrease the time you spend in Less Valuable Activities LVAs.
- When you focus on your Most Valuable Activities, both your ability and the difficulty of replacing you are increased.
This message is a call to excellence. It’s about doing what matters most and doing it well. Your invaluable work has the power to make a real difference for your personal growth and success.
Let’s ACT NOW!
To thrive, it’s important to focus on our Most Valuable Activities (MVA)—the tasks that drive results and make us indispensable. When you prioritize your MVAs, you not only become harder to replace but also accelerate your journey toward your goals. Identifying those MVAs daily and committing to consistently achieving them can lead to remarkable progress.
MVA is also a powerful tool in reaching your WHY. If you haven’t already, create your Vision Board! The first Vision Board I created in 2022 was inspired by a motivational post from a leader. Since then, I’ve achieved everything I set out on that board. That’s the power of putting your dreams into words and pictures.
2022 Vision Board:

By focusing on your goals, you’ll naturally shift away from Less Valuable Activities (LVA) that drain your energy and hold you back. Instead, you’ll dedicate your time and energy to what truly matters (MVA), moving closer to success every single day.
