Kaizen Thought: We receive what we give out.
“The only diet that does work is a mental diet — dieting from negative thoughts”
This line from the book You Can Heal Your Life reminds us that we are fully responsible for creating our reality through the thoughts we think and the beliefs we hold.
If we believe that we are overwhelmed or incapable, we will find ourselves immobile and unmotivated to continue–drowning in our own resistance to actually complete the task. Our world will mirror what we internally accept as true. And no, it’s not because the world is cruel to us at this point of time, it’s because we are projecting our beliefs outward.
It goes with the saying, “what we give out, we receive back.”
If we feed ourselves pain, questions, and harsh criticism, we get insecurities and fear. We deny ourselves the ability to enjoy life’s richness and positivity.
It’s critical we remind ourselves that for us to move forward, we have to choose to view ourselves as capable, worthy, and resilient in the face of challenges.
Nourish our minds with hope, and possibility. When we create a new internal environment, our external world shifts naturally and beautifully—we see solutions appear, and opportunities finding their way to us.
Mental diet is an act of self-love. It’s choosing every day, every moment, to feed our mind differently, treat ourselves with kindness, patience, and hope—then watching our life blossom in response.
