BlessUP Accept Criticism Day, business soul friends!

Dealing with criticism is something we all go through. It tests how strong we are emotionally. However, how we handle criticism makes a big difference. Our reaction decides what happens next and how we grow. 

We cannot please everyone; we will bump into people who might not like what we do or say. They might also say things that hurt or make us feel bad. However, here is the thing: We cannot control what others do but how we react.

Getting criticized is part of life. However, we should not let other people’s words get to us. Instead, we can try to learn something from it. Feeling upset when someone is saying negative things about us is normal. However, being vital means not letting those feelings control how we act. Criticism can help us grow. If we stay calm, we learn something valuable from what was said. Remember, what others think of us does not decide our worth. We are valuable just the way we are. Being in control means not letting others’ negativity make us doubt ourselves. It is like saying, “I know who I am, and I will not let their words change that.”

So, staying strong inside is the key. How we react to mean words shows how strong we are. It is about staying positive and not letting anyone else decide how we feel. That is how we grow and get stronger, no matter what life throws at us.

When you receive criticism, you gotta “eat the meat and spit out the bones”. Take and learn what you can from the feedback and let go of those that are irrelevant.

Pam studied Bachelor of Science in Information Technology but she never pursued an IT role for a job. Instead, she worked as a Technical Support Representative in a BPO company. She then went on to become a Campaign Manager for a Self-Publishing company, overseeing the marketing of her assigned authors' books through social media and offline book fair events. Her experiences working in the BPO and Self-Publishing industries helped her land the Client Champion seat at NaXum. She served the seat for a year before she took on the role as one of the Technical Production Managers. Jumping to the TPM seat is the biggest step Pam took to go beyond her comfort zone since she has never taken a leadership role before. Doing so helped her discover herself and develop new skills. As someone who is accountable to ensure that the team's output is aligned with the client's requirements, Pam continues to challenge herself and is focused on improving her knowledge every day to serve her seat, her team, and her clients the best. Outside of work, Pam is married and a mother of two. She loves spending time with her family on a weekend and enjoys listening to music while doing her daily chores. She's a big fan of the Korean boy group, BTS, since their music inspires her to do whatever it takes to reach her goals and live her dream life.
