As a team, we are constantly striving to improve and streamline our operations. But how often do we get to the heart of a problem rather than just treating its symptoms?
When confronted with a problem, our first instinct may be to solve it as soon as possible. However, if we do not take the time to fully comprehend the underlying cause of the problem, we may end up treating only its symptoms. As a result, we allow a vicious cycle of recurring problems and wasted resources.
To truly identify the source of a problem, we must dig deeper and ask WHY several times. For example, if a client reports a platform issue, we can inquire as to WHY the defect occurred. Was it due to a flaw in the design, a coding error, or a problem with communication? We can uncover the underlying cause and implement a more effective solution by asking WHY several times and kick those challenges out of our assembly line.
Let’s unlock the power of kaizen by identifying root causes and implementing fundamental changes in our processes and systems.
To provide more value to our goals, we must embrace continuous learning and improvement by leveraging technology, training, and communication. And, while we strive for perfection, let us not forget the importance of cash flow management so that we can continue to create ARTworks and drive growth.
