BlessUP Early Bird 🐣 Friday, business soul friends!
It’s not exactly fun to be early. Most of us do not want to start when everybody else still hasn’t. We prefer to take our time, sometimes to just coast along until life pressures us to move quicker. Even the people who have reaped a lifetime of benefits from being an early bird still struggle with this discipline. But there is a great reward that awaits those who dare to start and stay ahead.
In being early, we are free. In being early, we are calm. When we are ahead of everybody else, we are confident and clear-headed. When we are early, we give yourselves a headstart, setting ourselves up to win for the rest of the day. Then, we have zero regrets.
Being first may not always mean we are the best, but early is our first and recurring opportunity to win. We earn the advantage of assessing our pace and adjusting what needs to be adjusted. We gain the capacity to look back and go slow if needed, or go even faster which is a path to be great all the same.
Get this simple discipline right each day and you easily develop other virtues that will lead you to success. As they say: the early bird gets the worm; the early riser gets the whole world.
Let this BlessUP be a reminder for you to start ahead and stay ahead of everybody else. Check in 30 minutes early and plan your shift before it starts. Knock out that next task in your backlog today when it’s due three days away. Do the things you can do now even when you’re not asked to. Don’t hit snooze. Don’t say “later.” Be up and doing while you can and while you are able to because it’s a better alternative than the fate we’ll all meet one day.
See each task you are entrusted to work on as an opportunity to do what you love the most. Remember, there are a lot of business souls out there who would die to be where you are, to work on a meaningful mission as you do, and to be part of a team that pushes you to be the best version of yourself.
When you have trouble getting out of bed early or when your lizard brain tells you not to show up. When distractions tempt you to procrastinate, remember:
Today, you could be the next big thing.
Today could be that major breakthrough you have been waiting for so long.
But you’ll never know unless you start, you show up and you get things done.
Until I SEE YOU again,
Don’t snooze your success away.
Greatness awaits so rise up and get moving!
