Kaizen Thought: Encouraging and valuing honest feedback.
It’s not cruel to tell people the truth respectfully and honestly.
– Chapter 3, Powerful
Clear and honest feedback is important. It’s not about just pointing out mistakes, or calling out errors but it’s also about exchanging knowledge that helps each of us improve. By encouraging open communication, great ideas can emerge, and better solutions can be found.
But remember, feedback needs to be fair and should be a two-way street. Giving feedback is just as important as receiving it with an open mind. When we approach feedback with a positive outlook, we create an atmosphere where everyone feels heard and respected.
